Great 948

So Orange Park held an event called The Great 948. Their whole goal was to collect nine hundred & forty-eight tiles of artwork. Not sure if they completed their goal but I hope they did.Anyway I participated by turning in a tile- it was a collaborative piece between me and Mata (artist & boyfriend ^.^). He made all the great metal pieces for the tile. His blog ---> http://matasjunk.blogspot.com/

Peacock Tile
Watercolor, Ink, Copper & Silver
After this tile the park gave out some more tiles in order to meet their goal. We took 4 more tiles. They came out really great, especially the ones where we drew an octopus on 2 tiles whose tentacles crossed over so no matter which way you connected the two tiles they would fit and interact. It makes much more sense when you see it, but I neglected to take pictures of them. They are hanging up at the park right now. So I just have to wait to get them back before I can photograph them & throw them in my portfolio.

I tend to use Micron Pens, they are quick and conveniant. However, I have this beautiful set of Rapidograph pens all filled up with ink. I had to bust them out of their boxy cage and put them to work. I don't know how they feel about drawing some strange fishy creature but they certainly did a wonderful job even if the artist using them is questionable. ^.^

A Blog Revamped & An Artist Graduated!

I hated how this blog looked so I redid it a bit. I hated the posts I have previously posted so here are some new ones. And I am going to put some serious time into this blog. I have neglected it dearly but that is because I have been extremely busy and I kinda hate going on the computer... I feel like the Internet sucks out my soul little by little through my eyeballs.

Anyway- I graduated! So I am an artist with a degree and no job! Like many out there :D. But that is OK I am an illustrator on the hunt. Need me to draw something for you because you have no drawing abilities? Go ahead and contact me, I need money & things to draw.

Here are some prints to look at for my one follower and that one person who accidentally found my blog and is having a hard time navigating away- it's ok, don't panic. I know you sense the secret undertones of this page and cannot figure out why you can't seem to look away, or why when you finally find the X button it doesn't work. Shhhh shhhh shhhh stop whimpering and keep looking this way. That's it. It won't be long now...

Oh look some artwork or something:

This is a transfer print w/pen & ink.
And this gorgeous model is practically my sister & has her own fancy blog.

The snail that modeled for me doesn't have a blog yet.

Also my background.
My dog is awesome.

This bad boy right here is also an Etching.
My chefy owl was drawn for my fantastic chef friend Miss Vicky.
She wants this as a tattoo and as soon as she is inked (or gets a web presence) I will post it.

Eyes a Bleedin'

I've spent way too many hours on this computer but I have finally made my very own fancy shmancy blog. I am going to do my very best to keep it updated, but as I become busier (new semester about to start) I will have to remind myself to get on here.

So here we are, my very first blog post. As it is the very first one there is absolutely no one reading it so I am basically talking to myself. That's ok. I am working on some new art works but they are in-progress so for now I will put some pics of work I did over the year 2010. Just a few for this here post since I am borrowing a laptop & do not have many images with me at the moment.
I know I know enough talk- you need to see pictures 'cuz words hurt your brain.

Here Ya Go:
